The cost of most compact tools is in the batteries anyway. Maybe buy bare tool? If you already have DeWalt batteries and chargers....

I use DeWalt. Primary reason for purchase was the above--already had some batteries and chargers and wanted to K.I.S.S. (keep it simple, stupid.) I have four impacts for bin jacking, and they get used HARD, but in 6 years and hundreds of thousands of bolts fastened, they are still kicking. Worst thing that ever happened was the rubber jacket on one came off. I also have a large model DeWalt that nobody around here really uses. It seems like the small ones are effective for most jobs, and batteries don't hold out enough for big ones on big jobs, so we grab an air impact.
