There are still lots of guys who have piles of money from good prices and good crops. In our area the farmers aren't the ones buying up all the ground its the guys who had lots of money sitting in stocks and bonds that aren't turning much revenue so they buy up ground and want 300 an acre for it to turn some money over. That's what's frustrating at auctions is that they haven't a clue what they are buying or what it will produce they just expect top dollar and someone always pays it somehow.
Yup....
land will remain high till no one has any more money......When that happens this question wont even come up anymore. |
