The post above is a pic of my 10 year old sons (Sylar) 4-H calf charlett back in Feb. We picked this calf because she was naturally tame and correct.......She is just a sale barn calf. We we took her to the fair and she won Grand Champion market heifer and Sy won Reserve champion Jr. showmanship......really proud of the boy. Charlett gained 3.12 lbs/day from March 8th until weigh ins on Monday night. I did end up cutting out her implant about 3 weeks ago (was in her ear for about 48 hrs.) and she is off to a friends pasture to have an encounter with his yearling Hereford bull. Guess Jr. and I have to have the birds and the bees talk NOW! Good times. If I can figure it out I'll post a pic of her....maybe. | |
