Subject: RE: Rogator questions

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I am assuming you are using a real radar gun. If so, I would estimate a speed cal of around 800 with SP2. With a real radar gun, the speed cal is dependent on the brand of radar gun and the angle at which it is mounted. This may vary from machine to machine. Checking the actual ground speed and acres will confirm if the speed cal is accurate. If you use the amount of product that you sprayed as your indicator, you are getting the flowmeter cal involved which may confuse the issue.

With a Raven, the system multiplies by the speed cal number (many other systems are the opposite) so using a smaller speed cal number would decrease the indicated ground speed and acres. This is turn would reduce the amount of product that you "got rid of" in a certain sized field. The Volume keys are helpful to determine if the flowmeter cal seems reasonable.
