I think I "fixed" the window regulator in wife's van yesterday. Suddenly quit working with no warning. Got into it and took the motor apart. New mechanism was about $85 so I thought why not take the motor apart and see for sure what is wrong. I couldn't find anything obviously wrong with the worm gear, so I cleaned it and greased it up good. Suddenly went back to working. Greased all the slides and cables, and it is back working for now. Couple hours of my time and saved $85 plus a trip to town.
