Check that a couple plug wires haven't been swapped by "helpers".

Failing coils and condensers sometimes run a little while until they warm up and recover when they cool though it takes as long to cool as it did to warm. Typically they take around 15 minutes to get to failure mode.
When its running poorly check for the color of the spark with bad coil or condenser it will be thin and yellow, and it ought to be fat and blue and stretch more than 3/8"

A gas cap that isn't venting will cause the fuel to run lean after a while. Check by slowly opening the cap after its running bad and listen for a rush of air into the tank. A second check for fuel starvation is to pull the choke on partly to see if that makes it run smoother.
