If your 930 Flex does not have a wiring kit for contourmaster -you need to go to dealer & order one, then it will be automatic when you turn the feederhouse on. You can install or have dealer install-I put one on a 925F header, otherwise your header won't work with the contour feederhouse, if this kit from Deere isn't available you will have to purchase a head that has it. Its a sonar device that makes it work. I had dealer install 3 to 4 yrs ago-it cost $1500 for the kit less labor.

The head will work on your 9600 but the contour action won't be present without that harness or it will be like a level land feederhouse with a head. You need the harness to get the performance of your contour combine. I switched heads from a 1996 925 flex that had harness to a 2001 925F that did not have the harness.
