Does any one know what I need to use my Easy guide 500 as the speed sensor for my 8160 spray controller? Or can this be done? Thanks.
Shouldn't be a problem since the 8160 accepts radar type signals. You will need a cable or two from Trimble to get the simulated radar signal out of the Easy Guide 500. The radar like signal will need to be "turned ON" via the menu on the 500. You can adjust the output on the 500 and/or the speed cal on the 8160. Adjust one or both values to get the speed indicated on the 8160 to agree with the speed indicated on the Easy Guide 500. Comparing the 8160 speed to the tractor may work but they are not always calibrated correctly. |
