Near-north Ontario, French River
Hartung has a pickle plant just east of Chatham, I think its just a grading and transfer yard though. Any idea what label Hartung's sell under? Maybe they are carried locally?? Redoak,I never knew you grew tamotoes for Heinz. We also grew but got the heave ho when they eliminated all their hand pick contracts, when we got out we were their second longest term grower, I think only Remples out of Wheatley had grown longer. That was way back about 1990 or so, at the time I think we had 37 or 38 yrs in, missed the money for a while but certainly not the head aches.
