Iowa | We were in a similar situation last year. Figured and figured and finally decided it was foolish for us to use the profits from the owned ground to subsidize the high rent/low or no margin ground. Also didn't want it to get out I was paying whorehouse price and screw up relationships with the good landlords that are on shares or flex-rent. So far no regrets the way the markets have turned out and even if corn bounced to $7 I think I would be getting a termination right about now asking for even substantilly more rent for 2015. All that said, I still believe it may take a while for rents to correct If we stay at these lower prices for a while. Good luck | |
