Subject: RE: Thoughts on Keen-serts/Time-serts

Between Omaha and Des Moines, 7 miles South of I80

I would probably just helicoil it. CAT does sell a little longer heilcoil, (few more coils)

I believe, the part number is 1H6525, for 3/8" NC

What ever you decide on, please use a torque wrench, on the oil pan bolts, AND I don't mean AFTER you already rattled your Super-Strong 3/8" impact on each bolt, either.

You can still use an impact, with a setting on low, to run the bolts up quickly.

Heck, those newer small impacts do over 180 ft lbs !!!
