I have used stops to enter a trade (I think this is what you are asking). If I have identified a price that i think is significant on a chart I have used that as a trigger to enter a position. I don't trade minis so can't answer that. I am guessing that you could use the price on the big contract to be the trigger for the mini. That way you don't get jerked around.
