Makes a difference on how to approach this, and if your computers are emptying the above server that is holding the emails, or if it is just copying the emails but leaving them on the server.
As well. For a time my hotmail account (now Live mail I guess) was sending out messages that m inbox was filling up; those were actually false messages by spammers/ phishing folk.
So depends where you are coming from....
