Subject: RE: Windows movie maker question

Any video created in Windows XP will play on Windows 7, Linux or a Mac.
The formats and "containers" of the video, like AVI, MP4, or MPEG are independent from the computer's operating system.

As for the large TV, it depends on what kind of input connectors it has, like USB or HDMI, and what kind of graphic outputs your computer has. HDMI is pretty standard on both these days. With USB, you'll need to copy the video into a USB flashdrive and insert it in the TV, which will play it. The playback cannot be piloted by the computer to the TV directly via USB, only via a graphic output like HDMI.
