I bought a 42ft Wil-rich 2500 field cultivator on AuctionTime last week in Morrison, Missouri. Those folks at Bockting Implement are good as gold to deal with. Friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Everything we used to take for granted but now appreciate when we compare a honest place like that to a big chain dealership.

We pulled it home yesterday and boy was it wide and tall! It was 14ft tall and 19ft wide. Before we left we robbed a concrete block from the pit silo for traction weight and if I hadn't, we wouldn't have been able to pull it.

We stopped for fuel and I noticed the truck next to me had a serious crack in the frame. I asked the driver about it and he said he was too busy to fix it. He'll change his tune when it either breaks or the flat hat DOT pull him over.

We had 4 inches of rain the last couple days and we saw some rained on hay and some beautiful corn. The corn in the bottoms west of Chamois was showing a little silk and tassel, just barely.

We had a slow drive from Morrison to Hermann in the hills, but found a good mexican joint with a big parking lot for lunch.

I was getting pretty puckered up about pulling it in the hills once we got to Callaway county east of Portland on hwy 94,, so I called a friend and he met me in Bluffton to flag the rest of the way. We didn't hit any vehicles or mailboxes, but "twanged" quite a few road signs and trimmed a lot of trees!
