A 6410 will not do the same work as a 7410.

6410 is a 4 cylinder 4.5L 90hp PTO tractor. Rated liberally.
7410 is a 6 cylinder 6.8L 105hp PTO tractor. Rated conservatively.

A 7410 weighs about 3000 lbs more.

There is room to play with fuel screws in a 7410 if you really want to.

The 7000 rides so much better than the 6000.
Its less shifting as you can lug the engine a little more.
64x0 overheat more easily than 7000 series. Just because the horsepower is there doesn't mean the rest of the tractor is.
7000 has more ground clearance. 6000 you may be fighting hay swaths or have a "special rake pin" thats been cut down to be as short as possible, or be hooking onto the top part of the hammerstrap.

6000's are great yard tractors. A 2 wheel drive 6400 easily pivots in place with a little brake use, has enough power for most jobs, is easy to get in and out of, shifts easy, good visibility for backing up trailers, etc. Just a fantastic tractor for a livestock operation, run augers, pumps, agitators, sawdust buckets, mixers, etc. Put one out in the field pulling something and it overheats and bounces you to death in the cab.

What you really want is a mfwd model with E range that hasn't had a loader and has 4000 hours or less. They are getting hard to find with less than 4000 hours.
To my knowledge 64x0 do not come with E range and they are harder to find with mfwd.

Personally I am not interested in a 20 or 30 or newer series tractor. To me the 10 series are the best of the best with the 100 series a close second.

You can spread a 7410 out to 88" going by the book. With some optional 1" spacers up front you can go out to 90". I have ours set to 88" with 14.9's and its just fine to spray with.
The only thing better than a 7410 is a 7510, and the only difference is the fuel screw setting and front axle. 7510 was marketed as a loader model so it has a heavier front axle, there is nothing wrong with a 7410 front axle and many also had loaders on them.
My friend you just summed that up so well. Everyone should read your post
