Someone was telling me there are alot of Chinese junk knockoffs on MSD distributors out there.  How do you TELL if thats what you have??

I went to the MSD site and it doesnt let you even look around or get any info without registering.  I registered yesterday and still dont have status there.  Lots of people dont like that site.

Anyway my main problem is my MSD distributor that came with a car I bought squeals like a bad belt on the pulleys.  Looks as if it may be allowing rotor to touch cap.  seems like thee is a small amount of play on top bearing in dist.

Bottom of shaft runs in enough oil to keep from wear but top is another story.  It says MSD-6A on the firewall box. 

Anyone heard of any noisy,,,and I do mean noisy dist. ever???
