I guess it's going to truly be a "here" thing, in Ontario I would be concerned about having a rock get stuck between the tires and the frame coming down to the axle. I had this happen once and rub on the side walls, I can't remember when it happened and had to replace tires last year because of wear I forget what brand they are but they weren't unreasonable in price I will check tomorrow and try to take a picture of them. Obviously if your lucky enough to not have rocks than the clearance is a moot point.
