NW Central Ohio | ...yep, one of the things you just can't get around with No-till. Unless you have really good rain after a burndown with pre-emerge added to it...you will move the chemical out of the row area if you use a row cleaner. One of the reasons why adding cover crops to the mix makes it even more difficult to get things properly done. If a field is fall sprayed with a good residual, there won't be a heavy weed population in the spring. If you're planting a herbicide tolerant variety...you can then go in after the crop is up...add residual chemicals to the mix...and get your spraying done in just 2 applications. If you had to spray a cover crop to burn it down...then you might end up with 3 trips.
