Last year we averaged 83 pounds across the board. I just ran a quick overall average through Excel and our 2014 calf crop averaged 79.95. I think the numbers might be a bit skewed though as we had more twins than normal this year.
If you're talking about the black bull on the "About Us" page, that's actually PHG Fighting Irish N07. He was a division champion in Denver in 2004 and was a contender in teh champion line-up that year. He was syndicated in the national sale that year and we ended up buying back possession. The guy at the halter is Tony Heins from ND. The Grizzly Bear bull was purchased from Diamond Bar Cattle in Cody, WY in 1986. We'll be celebrating our 30th year in the breed next year and his influence is still found way back in quite a few of our females.
