I figured there must be other hubs that require the dust seal...
I installed the new bearing, shimmed it accordingly, you were right it was in the book. For some reason it is a tight fit though to get the new seal installed on the shaft as it has to pass the bearing, which is pretty much the same size.
I have the thing all assembled, oiled up and the wheel mounted back in place. Not running yet as it rained a LOT the last couple of days. It really was one of those rainy day jobs...
