Dear Jeff,

Went through that Jan 3, 2001.  We parted on the best of terms, I was holding his hand.

I was thinking today, have I been in shock for 13 years?

I pray for him, I talk to him, I know he's in a good place but gee, it's not like what we had here on earth.

We never worked together much, we knew what to be done and we both went and did it, spreading ourselves too thin but by golly we did it.

He was the most patient understanding man I ever met and he thought I was the smartest guy he ever met.  I would have always traded him in a heartbeat and told him so.  He just laughed.
