Jefferson, SD | Just north of Sioux City in the tip of SD. We basically had no snow over the winter so we worse off than the chart indicates.
Ground that was fall till only has enough moisture to start the corn planted.
Ground that was worked this spring is dry down 2-3".
We are starting out much drier than 2012.
Planting conditions are good but if we don't catch a rain soon the corn emergence will be very uneven and that takes the top end potential off corn. | |
