Subject: JD4930's Pete-styling cues

JD4930's pics of his awesome Pete and all the favorable comments got me to thinking about machinery's progression in styling over the last 40-50 years. Is it just me, or do a lot of you actually prefer the modern, sometimes European, sometimes futuristic styling of today's modern equipment? In my opinion, especially tractors, most models thru the years did not look better than their predecessor. Compare a 4630 to Frytowns 4620 for example. Look at a cab less fully restored 1070 case with a chrome pipe. Anybody really think the 86 series IH were a better looking tractor than the 66 series? I for one, just hope the design engineers take it easy over the next 20 years so our equipment doesn't start to resemble something out of a transformer movie. By the way JD4930, that is one cool truck you have there.
