Just got anew drill with a raven nh3 kit on it. I am wondering if I can use the outback gps for my speed instead of a separate sensor or radar? Not sure if I need a Y connection or just a single cable

First of all you do need a speed sensor in the 3 pin Conxall port. Some folks think that if the Raven has a 9 pin connector on it, that the 9 pin can be used for speed Input. This is not correct.

Concerning a Y cable: I'm not familiar with the Outback but the GPS will still need a power source of its own as only 5V is available at the Raven connector. The 5V is suitable to power Raven's Magnetic Ground speed sensor but not a GPS.
