Lots of people do it to make the paint look good.  Thats why you never trust a painter or detailer talking about how good of a job they do when the pictures they show you area machine inside still wet. Outside is better and shows defects. You can still add a filter to the picture though that will hide most of it.

Lots of tricks with a camera, go look at it yourself if appearance matters.
