The trouble is, the cost to rebuild is likely just as much as it costs you to buy a new one and get a core refund. A lot of these load bar designs would have to be stripped down to bare metal and have the load cell element (usually a strain gauge) reattached, along with the wiring and potting material.

With these strain gauge load cells, it's less about rebuilding and more about just salvaging the bar and building a new load cell from it.
