whitesville new york | I've been running a inline baler for a number of years now. I think a inline baler makes the best bales, they are packed evenly side to side and it will pack bales really tight ( twine is the limity factor).
As far as capacity the neighbors seem to run circles around me with their new Hollands and john deeres. The dryer the hay the faster you can go. I like to make a 50# bale with 12-14 flakes so I'm not in a huge hurry.
I have limited experience with side delivery so I can't say if the bales breath any worse or better. We put a gang box on our baler for 2nd and 3rd cut hay, it helped with our mold issue. We stack our hay on edge. | |
