North Carolina | My dad recently bought a used 950 Steffen and matching Grapple. Took us a couple of days to figure everything out and get the baler / hydraulics wired up, but after baling with the machine I really like it. It has more parts / components and is a little more complex than some of the others. We did a lot of research before buying. Dad ended up choosing the Steffen for the following reasons:
We work on hills and the Steffen is better suited for us with its low profile
Steffen keeps the bales flat not on end
Steffen does not drag the bales on the ground
Steffen does not effect the tension on the bale
Steffen leaves a tight bale package on the ground
The folks at Steffen were good to work with us over the phone although it was not a new machine.
