I broke down and bought a $300 12volt cattle sprayer/fogger - no more fly problems.
You can spray a lot of cattle standing on a pen side. I like to stand in the gateway when moving cows to fresh grass. They dont like the sound and spray at first, but the green grass wins out and you can let them walk through the fog.
I started out using diesel as a carrier but switched to soybean oil - it doesn't kill the grass. |
