in the 80's, if jimmy's return to the farm encouraged debt against the farm, the parents probably would have lost it. if jimmy lived on nothing for 10 years and his labor and management allowed the farm to still be in the family today, the city siblings would be calling him and the deceased parents tight a$$'s for not sharing the equity increase he created by holding on the the land.
