That is what ruined my orbitral. I found out a couple of years later when I was rebuilding the steering cylinder. The previous owner put a regular nut with a lock washer on the rod to hold the piston on instead of a locknut. The nut backed off a bit & with the piston slopping back & forth on the rod, it destroyed the lock washer. A small piece of it got carried in the oil up into the orbitral.
