Subject: RE: sidedressing corn with sprayer

South Georgia
The only place I ever see any noticeable leaf burn is where I'm off the row and shooting fertilizer directly on the row. With curves and terraces, it happens sometimes...

I carry 30 rows with the sprayer, and plant 18 around the ends, so when I cut the ends, I'm going across some rows. That'll look like heck in a couple days, and will kill a plant where it gets down in the whorl, but in two weeks it won't be noticeable.

Maybe y'all side dress later than we do. Yesterday I was putting 33 GPA of 28% on corn that was about 4-5" tall. I was running about 80 psi and 6-7 mph, and there was significant splatter, plus it was fairly windy, but I still don't expect to see significant burn based on previous experience.
