Put another pump/prop on the other side and get a long stick hoe with a wide smooth bucket. Have the hoe operator drive along the outside of the wall and keeping scraping back and forth from the wall to as far as he can reach. Keep doing that as you are emptying the pit. We do it every year and it gets a lot of the sand out.
