Subject: RE: Track vs. Wheels

Strathcona, mn
I have a gleaner r72 with metric fronts and rwa and a r76 with griptracks and no rwa. There is no comparison btw the two, tracks will easily out do the rwa machine any day any condition in mud. Rwa makes a huge difference but with the tracks I can cut where it is nearly impossible to walk. I had machines with duals and they are great right up till you plug them up..... Then they are like trying to spin marshmallows through the mud. I don't run a 16 row corn head but I'd put money on it that I could fill my 400 bushel extension on my r76 and walk right through there test hole. At some point they'll realize ultra heavy machines and mud don't mix.
