Northern Illinois | When I a painted the 4230 I took everything to bare metal, sandblasted what I could and used paint stripper or 40/80 grit on a 8 inch buffer to remove paint. On the 4630 the factory paint was in decent shape, just faded so I decided to do a bit quicker paint job and scuffed it all w/320 and or red scotch brite pads from 3m. We used Akzo Nobel paint (Sikkens).I used a wet on wet process, started with a epoxy, let it flash for an hour, then right to Sikkens single stage green paint. Sikkens single stage is very tough and holds out very well. Most think it basecoat clear coat. One of the best single stage paints I have used. As far as the led's I bought 50 of them for 20 dollars each, talked the guy down. I would have to go back and look to see what the output is. But I can tell you one thing I like them much better than the HID's I had before. Much cleaner light. The combine is like daylight, its unreal how good you can see. | |
