I did the road trip thing last spring. I made one 900 mile road trip over 3 days looking at tractors and never got out of my state. Put on several single day road trips in and out of state looking at other tractors. Saw some good tractors that sold well. For one reason or another, I just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger on any of them.

As long as you're just looking, you might as well check out a Kubota if only to have a reference point between other new and used tractors. Compare $ to $ for what you can get in new vs used.

In the end that's what I did. Now I have a new tractor with warranty. The MDS bucket/grapple is a bonus. http://www.mdsmfg.com As time goes by I am more confident that I made the right decision.

Neighbor has a 7210 Deere he likes very much. He is currently using my Kubota to feed his cows at my place so he doesn't have to drive back and forth with his tractor. Neighbor is 70 years old but didn't take him long to catch on to the Jap tractor LOL!
