Central South Dakota | Is it going to be a tandem trailer, a triaxle trailer? I personally wouldn't buy a trailer with shorter than 78" sides. If it is going to be a triaxle, I would strongly recommend minimum of 78" sides just because it is easier to get the weight positioned where you need to with the taller sides. We run a 102" x 78" trailer and a 102 x84" trailer and the next time we trade they will be minimum 84" sides, but we also handle a lot of flowers. If you put a pusher on your tractor and run a triaxle trailer you should be able to legally net around 1200bu of corn so you need some room.
If it is going to be a new trailer, I strongly recommend getting the turn signals in the rear headers. People just seem to pay more attention since we finally have that option.
