Subject: Re: Thinking about adding a small grain truck?

west central Iowa
I bought a 1974 Chevy C-65 in September at an auction for a little over $1000. It was one owner 90k miles with 30k on a rebuilt 350, single axle, 4+2, will haul about 350 bu. Seemed straight and solid and drove well. Left it at a truck shop on the way home to get checked over and inspected, that cost another $500. I hauled about 30 or 40 loads this fall and it worked fine. It worked good when we were combining beans, but I couldn't keep up with a 6 row head combine in 200 bu. corn It loses brake fluid like the other old chevy trucks I've been around, but I noticed it is wet around the master cylinder so maybe that is where it getting out. The other bad thing is that only has a 19 gallon tank and the gauge doesn't work.
