Subject: No tilling beans into corn stalks w/ IH row units question.

swohio
One of my projects this winter( if ever get done with harvest) is to build a another 15" row soybean planter using IH 900 row units. I know they can go into the ground without coulters, how well without row cleaners do they do into 180 to 200 bu. corn stalks? Have a White 5100 now with row cleaners on 15" rows and they do well. I have a 900 that I use for corn and have no tilled into bean stubble without row cleaners and had great stands. Will the 900 row units plant though all this trash with no row cleaners and give me the great stands? The only reason I'm doing this is I really like the IH row unit for no tilling corn, think the same for no tilling beans, just wondering would I still need row cleaners. Thanks.
