It kind of depends on what you want to accomplish with the software.  You can get a lot of info but you have to put it in.  I stayed with  my old system of Quicken and various home made spreadsheets because I was unwilling to make the changes in how I do things necessary to make other systems work.

If you want to keep Quicken with your new computer I'd suggest getting the newest version with your new computer and importng the data.
