nw iowa
Hard to beat the narrow trench from the offset disc openers, easier to close the trench. I like pulling the depth wheels thru the field instead of pushing, like all other planters. I no tilled soybeans into 20" corn for 3 years with a 24 row 20" 1240. Added more acres and went to a 1260 36 row 20" for the past 3 years still no tilling sbeans. New 1265 supposed to be built next week. I think the 1250 or new 1255 folding model is cheaper than the pivot fold 1240 model.

I have broke more firming points since adding PP's air force down pressure but, I do plant sbeans at 7mph.
