Central Nebraska | I'm getting my Deere 1720 planter setup with FieldIQ and will be pulling it with a Magnum 290. I've got all the FIQ stuff on the planter along with the Trimble downforce workaround kit for the Deere Active downforce. I've got everything working (or know the problem) with the FIQ stuff but am unable to get the downforce compressor to come on. I have connected the CAN cable from the planter to the CAN recepticle on the tractor (never used it before) as I was told that is where the compressor gets its power from. On this cable there is also a large Deutsch connector labled "battery power". With the keyswitch on I do not have power on that plug. The planter also came with a cable/relay assembly that is suppose to connect to the battery and go to the rear of the tractor. Do I use this harness and connect it to the CAN cable for 12v power? | |
