I was missing some for almost 8 years on my 6.0. I did nothing and shipped it down the road this fall. It had a small exhaust leak when cold out until the engine got to about 130 degrees and then went away. I never felt the need to go through the trouble. If I did, I would have taken the manifolds off and put headers on.
