WE have been using "The Swinger"on our swing always but still seem to have spills plus I noticed the hired man damaged one slightly with one of the rear trailer tires. My trailer has electric trap openers & they don't have a lot of clearance above the swing auger. In fact, I tweaked the rear opener brackets . We have talked about pouring a concrete slab for the hopper but I like your idea better I have a couple questions. How do you lower the swing hopper into the pit? Tractor & loader?. 2nd. How wide is your pit? If wider than the swing hopper are the walls vertical or tapered so the grain falls into the hopper? If straight, how do you get all the grain into the hopper or do you have to clean the pit daily?
