ND | Have a 1975 4430 Quad that shifts hard when it gets warmed up, had to JD dealer 3 times in the late 90's-they paid labor bill for three consecutive years & I paid for parts but still shifts hard from neutral into 1-2 or going up into 3-4. The A-B-C-D is no problem. Its a yard tractor & snowblowing with it now, stepping in clutch & shifting from neutral into 1-2 it balks. Before we took it in the first time it was no problem, dealer checked transmission for bad bearings & it has shifted poorly ever since. Just got 8" snow with a slight wind event & today its 2 above zero in ND. Tractor has 7825 actual hrs | |
