Subject: Manure/littler spreader box design...which one?

NW Iowa
Somewhat theoretical here...say one wanted a vertical beater manure spreader in the 500 cu ft size. Two spreaders side by side...one is 2' shorter in length, has flared sides 24" above the floor (similar to a bunning), and has less tounge weight loaded and is balanced better. The other one is 2' longer has straight sides and more young weight when loaded. Wheel base is identical (possibly narrower on flare side)...not wider than 125". The straight sized box is 12" wider which means the beaters are larger taking more HP to run. Both have regular slop gates and an option for a sliding gate. Heaped pile on the flare side can be wider.at the top allowing for full usage of the height of the beaters. Straight sided one usually doesn't see.material at the top 20% of the beaters. Beater height is the same on both, and both use the same material on the floors and walls. You are going to pull this with a 150hp tractor. Which one would you pick and why? Any downfalls to either one?

Also consider trying to build either one...
