Subject: Questions on 2588

Wisconsin
I have a friend that is wanting to make some changes with their combines. They want to get a combine that will devour corn and do a great job in soybeans(they grow food grade beans) I have a 2166 and at my past job I ran a 2188 for 5 years. I remember running an 8 row head at about 3.5 to 4.5mph in good corn. They want to get rid of the John Deere 9600 and in my opinion a 2588 would be a good combine for them. They run about 1800 acres of corn and beans, sometimes wheat. Do you guys that have or had 2588 like them and how fast do you run in corn. The newer machines are a little out of his price range he said. As far as the mechanics of the machine I know that its very similar to my 2166. Would you recommend this machine? TIA any questions feel free to ask .
