Not a dumb question.  Many are concerned about the amount of "vapor" going to 2 of ___ rows on an applicator.  I suggested the OP split his vapor rows on an 8 row strip till bar because those 2 rows would be a little hotter.  It may or may not be an issue.  I wouldn't if it were mine because I've never seen an instance where I could say that the vapor caused a problem.
