Problems we would look for include:

crawl underneath and check the bearings and drive gears for the auger bed. The bearing holders broke off ours and ruined the shaft, gears, etc.

Aggressively yank on the var feederhouse drive pulley (just under the cab corner). The sheaves and bearings wore out. Bearings are greaseless and the sheaves wear against each other.

We have had the fan speed var sheaves go out twice also.

The vertical unload auger as had been stated before. We also several years later had the lower bearing for the vertical auger spin in its housing wearin the housing out.

If it has a chopper, check the overall condition including its mounts. Running with thrown knives shakes them apart pretty fast.

Make sure the cab fan and blinkers work. Ours has had a minor glitch where they would quit every now and then.

Ours is an 08 model, but these are the 'design' problems we have encountered. We have had a few other problems, but things like a coon in the fan, lines rubbing together and leaking. Those are just the luck of the draw. Had some hot running issues, but that was our own stupid fault for putting the fan on backwards when we worked on the radiator last summer. Oops.

I am pretty sure not much was changed between 08 and 11 so these would be things just to watch for. Its got about 2000 engine and 1400 sep hours now.

Never had any engine problems. Original feederhouse chain and clean grain chain. All other bearings are still in fine shape.
